This time of year I get lots of questions about how to transition a summer wardrobe into fall. You don’t have to buy a whole new wardrobe for fall! With just a few key pieces to swap out or layer on you can make the transition smoothly.
Add a blazer
When it starts to get chilly, one of the easiest pieces to add is a blazer. It keeps you warm and looking sophisticated. For a modern take on the blazer, try one in a bright color like tomato red or cobalt blue.
Swap your jeans
Trade your colored jeans for a pair of colored corduroys. Corduroys worn with boots are a perfect casual look.
Layer on a cozy sweater. When the temperatures start to drop think about adding a sweater over collared shirts or dresses for a layered look.
Lose the sandals
Trade the sandals for a pair of boots. Boots are a classic, and this fall it is all about the ankle boots. Plus, the ankle boot is a great way to transition into fall because you can still wear them with dresses or skirts and then with pants when it gets colder.
Lastly, cover your legs with tights. A pair of tights can be your best friend in the colder months! With warm legs you can still wear those skirts, dresses or even shorts throughout the winter.
How do you transition your wardrobe from summer to fall?
