Brunch is pretty much my favorite meal. Usually Henry is sleeping, which lessens the pressure of 2 kiddos running around while getting food on the table. Plus I went through a major sausage phase so we signed up for the “breakfast share” in our CSA and have more pork products than we’ll eat in a year.

I was going to take a photo but we ate them too fast. So here’s a glimpse of them found online.
This indulges my latest favorite ingredient – buttermilk. After I made Ina’s yummy biscuits the first time, I was determined to not let the leftover buttermilk go to waste. First thought, pancakes. Having always relied on Bisquick, I realized the homemade version with this magic ingredient is pretty incredible.
And I had just enough left to make this pie which was out of this world yummy.
