Smoothie bowls aren’t just a great way to sit down and enjoy your smoothie with a spoon—they’re often more substantial than traditional smoothies, with plenty of healthy fats and extra toppings. This one has a fresh chocolate-mint taste thanks to raw cacao (sub in unsweetened cocoa powder if you can’t find raw) and peppermint extract.
Avocado and kale supply plenty of fiber and antioxidants, and shredded coconut adds a nice texture. Top with more cacao powder and chunks of avocado if you like.

Ok, I tasted this right after I made it and I have to agree with the other reviewer, it was awful! It had a really strong peppermint/cocoa powder/kale taste all at the same time. But when I put half a banana and a lot of maple syrup in and left it in the fridge overnight, it turned out to be halfway decent! The flavors all came together and it turned out to be pretty good. :)
Something is wrong with the recipe. It was undrinkable. There is way too much peppermint extract and I had only used half. Could it be printed incorrectly?
this looks great! also, i love the pottery bowl you use! where did you get it? i’m looking for one like it for my mom for christmas!
This looks so delicious! I love the color, too. It’s so much easier to eat healthy when healthy tastes like a dessert ;)
