You're not sick of bracelets yet, are you? I hope not! When I mentioned that a bracelet binge was coming I wasn't lying! This DIY is inspired by the trend toward delicate, tiny bracelets. All you gotta do is make a ton of them for stacking.
DIY Wire + String Bracelets
Supplies needed:
- Thin hemp jewelry cord
- Heavy gauge wire
- Round nose jewelry pliers
- Sharpie and paper (not pictured)
Draw the letter or shape you want on a piece of paper. Then start bending the wire to follow the shape on the page. Use jewelry pliers help create the shape and add the curls at the ends. If you're making a shape like a heart or a triangle, then use the pliers to make the ends of the wire meet. If making several shapes, attach them together before closing the wire.
Cut two pieces of cord and knot one onto each side of the wire shapes. Trim the ends of the knots and seal with a bit of glue. Cross the ends of the cord over each other, making a big loop. Knot each end of the cord onto the other. Put the bracelet on your wrist and pull the loose ends to tighten and check the fit. Trim any excess length. Then slide the knots along the cord to take the bracelets on and off.
Now stack your tiny shapes! I made a tiny "C" for Caroline, "H" for Henry and "S" for Samuel.
