I have to admit, I’ve been making a lot of trips through the drive thru of a certain coffee mega-chain this summer for an array of iced pink drinks and tea coolers, but all of those caffeinated drinks haven’t been kind on my bank account or my sleep habits. Then it occurred to me how easy it would be to make my own version at home—this time with less sugar, no caffeine and no artificial flavors or colors.
Because I tend to crave these yummy iced drinks throughout the day (especially in the summertime!), I wanted something that wasn’t caffeinated and that contained ingredients designed to help me relax and get centered.* Enter this Reishi Relax* elixir from Rritual Superfoods, which I’ve blended with a mix of hibiscus and passionfruit teas, fresh strawberries, coconut milk and a dash of honey to create a drink that has satiated my cravings for those fancy barista concoctions.
The Reishi Relax* elixir used in this recipe, like the other elixirs in Rritual’s product line, contains adaptogens, superfoods and mushrooms that are certified organic, vegan, gluten free and made with non-gmo ingredients and no added sweeteners.
While adaptogens, superfoods and mushrooms have been used for centuries, Rritual offers a new take on traditional medicine with plant-based elixirs that can help optimize your daily rituals.* From energy boosting your mornings to helping you unwind before bed, these small-batch elixirs can help boost immunity, improve cognitive function and memory, aid digestion, manage stress and improve sleep quality.*
Each elixir contains natural, dairy-free prebiotic superfoods Inulin and Lucuma for immune support, improved gut health and enhanced nutrition absorption*—no need to take additional prebiotics! They also contain Rritual’s 6 mushroom powerhouse immune synergy blend of Reishi, Maitake, Shiitake, Agaricus, Cordyceps and Turkey Tail—plus acerola cherry powder, which has one of the highest vitamin C contents of any fruit.
I love how easy these elixirs are to incorporate into your daily routine. You can mix them into water, coffee, tea and smoothies, use them as a topper to oatmeal, yogurt and granola or add them into recipes when you’re baking. These elixirs are also allergy and lifestyle friendly (celiac, paleo, vegan and vegetarian!), which makes them even easier to incorporate into the drinks and recipes you’re enjoying throughout the day.
I chose the Reishi Relax* blend for this pink, cooling drink recipe because aside from all of the aforementioned benefits, it also adds a nice hint of cacao and cinnamon—such an irresistible combo!
Plus, the Reishi Relax* elixir contains triterpenes, polysaccharides, fatty acids and amino acids and includes ashwagandha root to help the body and mind combat anxiety.* Longterm use can also help maintain quality of sleep for restless minds,* which makes this refreshing recipe ideal for day or night, especially when you want a caffeine-free afternoon treat.
And did I mention the final result is a refreshing, slightly sweet drink that is very pretty and pink?! The hibiscus and passionfruit teas add such a lovely pink hue to this recipe. I also appreciate that hibiscus tea has so many skin and health benefits. It contains potassium, vitamin C, iron and antioxidants and has anti-inflammatory properties, which can help fight signs of aging.

How to Make a Refreshing Reishi Cooler with Hibiscus & Berries
Ingredients
Serving: Makes two 20-ounce drinks
– 16 ounces of water
– 1 hibiscus tea bag
– 1 passionfruit tea bag
– 2 scoops (or two powder stick packets) of Rritual Superfoods Reishi Relax* elixir
– 1 tablespoon honey (use more or less to taste)
– Fresh strawberries, sliced
– 1/2 cup unsweetened coconut milk
– Ice
Instructions
To make your very own pink drink at home, you’ll start by brewing a mix of hibiscus and passionfruit teas in boiling water. Once the tea has steeped for 5 minutes, remove the tea bags and place tea in the refrigerator to cool for 15 minutes.
While the tea cools, chop the berries and set aside. I think strawberries compliment this flavor profile perfectly, but you can also add blueberries or raspberries, too!
Once the tea has cooled, remove it from the fridge and add in the Reishi Relax* elixir, stirring to blend fully. Then add in a drizzle of honey to taste and stir. Fill two 20-ounce (or larger) glasses with ice and fill each glass about halfway with the tea blend. Add sliced strawberries to each glass and top with coconut milk.
I used unsweetened coconut milk in this recipe, but you can use sweetened coconut milk if you’d prefer a sweeter drink. I like the version with unsweetened coconut milk because it lets the flavor of the tea and the fruit take center stage, but you can adjust this (and the amount of honey used) to your preference.
After I pour the coconut milk into each glass, I like to take a moment to appreciate the beauty of this drink as the coconut milk slowly trickles down through the ice and starts to mix with the deep pink tea blend. It has such a beautiful ombre effect!
Then I give each glass a good stir to combine everything fully, pop in a couple of reusable straws and enjoy—preferably in the hammock with a good book, but this is also a great drink to take on the road to keep you cool when you’re out running errands on hot days!
