Warm weather is here, which means it’s time to fire up the grill. We’ve already had several cookouts, and each time, my sister, the vegetarian, winds up with a puny salad or a sad looking sandwich. This time, we hosted a cookout where veggie burgers took center stage!
This is not your typical veggie burger. Made from all veggies (you can see the bits of corn and carrot) BUBBA Veggie Burgers are filling with a satisfying black bean flavor. Throw the frozen patties on the grill and you’re cookout-ready in no time. My favorite way to entertain because I can actually get out of the kitchen and enjoy myself!
Plus, the BUBBA Veggie Burger has all these great benefits:
- No GMO’s
- All natural
- Excellent source of vitamin A & C
- Gluten free
- Vegan friendly
- Low fat
- Cholesterol free
- No Saturated Fat
- Good Source Of Dietary Fiber
- 2.5 grams of fat
- Four (4) 3 oz. burgers per box
- Frozen for your convenience – no thawing
We paired our healthy burger wraps with a summery melon ball green tea. Guests loved the low-carb lettuce wrapped burgers and healthy mocktail. Refreshing, naturally sweet and good for you! A healthy change of pace from the traditionally heavy cookout menu of burgers, fries and beer.
Honeydew & Watermelon Green Tea
- 8 green tea bags
- 1/2 watermelon, cut into small pieces or balls
- 1/2 honeydew, but into small pieces or balls
Bring 4 cups water to boil in a medium saucepan. Remove from heat and add tea bags. Let steep for 5 minutes and discard bags. Let cool and add melon and 4 cups cold water. The tea tastes best if allowed for sit for a couple of hours to let the flavors infuse. Then serve over ice.
Our cookout was a success with no food coma afterward. Veggie burgers and iced green tea should be the new staples of summer, don’t you think?0
