Salt + Essential Oil DIY Fabric Softener

Make your own homemade summery DIY fabric softener with just two all-natural ingredients you probably already have in your cupboard.

Equipment

  • Large jar with lid

Materials

  • 4 cups kosher salt
  • 20 drops essential oils

Instructions

  • Mix well and store in a jar.
  • Add a 1-2 tablespoons for small loads and 4-8 Tablespoons for large loads.

Notes

This can be made in really big batches, too. Just double, triple or quadruple the ingredients.
For summer, we like to use lavender, jasmine, citrus or herb essential oils for fresh smelling laundry.
