Immune Boosting Lemonade

This green lemonade will kick your immune system into high gear.

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Small bowl
  • Cheesecloth

Ingredients

  • 3 small lemons peeled
  • ½ green apple
  • ½ cucumber
  • 1 inch piece ginger unpeeled
  • 1-2 tablespoons raw honey
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 scoop Organic Greens
  • Cheesecloth
  • Blender

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients except the Organic Greens in a blender. Purée until smooth
  • Line a small bowl with several layers of cheesecloth large enough to drape over the sides of the bowl.
  • Pour the puréed mixture into the bowl. Gather up the sides of the cheesecloth and strain out the juice.
  • Pour lemonade into a glass and add Organic Greens. Stir well.

Notes

Simply add a heaping scoopful to this lemon tonic, plus a little extra lemon or honey to your liking, and I promise it won’t even taste “green”. Then go ahead and sip it cold or feel free to lightly heat it up (just a little or you might destroy the nutrients) if you prefer warm drinks during the colder months.
