Equipment

  • 1 Microwave-safe cup or bowl (I used a glass measuring cup.)
  • 1 candle vessel of your choice
  • 3 Clothespins

Instructions

  • Place your wax in a heat-proof container and microwave in 30-second intervals until melted.
  • Let the wax cool for several minutes before adding your essential oils.
  • Lay 2–3 skewers across the top of your vessel. These will act as scaffolding to support the clothespins and keep the wicks from falling over. Slowly pour your wax into the vessel and let cool completely.
  • Let the wax cool at least 3 hours before trimming the wicks and lighting your candle.

Notes

You should light all three wicks and allow them to burn for at least 1 hour. Ideally, you want to melt the wax enough for the three wax pools to merge into a single pool that spreads evenly across the entire surface of the candle.
