Instructions

  • A bath or plastic lounge near the shower is a great spot to do this, otherwise prepare lots of towels on the floor to lie on. Check the room is warm, because the wrap will cool the body. Put the heater on and an old blanket in reach.
  • Blend kale, spinach, nori, coconut oil, with a splash of coconut water or water (enough to make it easy for the blender).
  • Stir in Epsom salts and essential oil and place the mixture by the bath.
  • Take a warm shower to help open the pores, but don’t shave.
  • Spread out the sheet and sit in the middle.
  • Using your hands, pat the mixture all over your body, starting with your feet and covering up with the bed sheet as you go.
  • Snuggle up in the sheet and place the blanket or towels on top.
  • Relax, by focusing on your breathing. Stay there for anywhere from 20 to 60 minutes, as long as you feel comfortable.
  • When you’re ready, scrape the body wrap onto the sheet and dispose or clean off for another use. I have been known to compost the whole thing, cotton sheet and all.
  • Rinse off under a warm shower. Moisturize with something like the coconut oil moisturizer.
  • Drink lots of water and pay attention to how you and your skin feel.
  • It’s a good idea to exfoliate the body everyday for three days after, with something like the ginger body scrub, because of the way the enzymes dissolve and dislodge the dead cells and toxins.
