- 8 ounces comfortably hot water
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1- to 2- inch piece fresh ginger grated
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
- Pinch ground cayenne pepper
