DIY Deodorant Bar with Beeswax
This deodorant lotion bar works much like a deodorant stick, which makes it easy to apply!
Yield: 5 ounces
Equipment
- Double broiler
- Empty deodorant container or soap/lotion bar molds
Materials
- 2 tablespoons beeswax
- ¼ cup shea butter
- ¼ cup coconut oil
- 4 tablespoons baking soda or diatomaceous earth powder
- 4 tablespoons non-GMO cornstarch or arrowroot powder
- 24 drops essential oil 1% dilution
Instructions
- Combine beeswax, shea butter and coconut oil in a heat-safe bowl. Heat a couple of inches of water over low heat in a small saucepan. Place the bowl on top to melt the wax and oils.
- Remove from heat and stir in the powders. Add in essential oils and combine.
- Pour into a mold and let the bar harden for several hours. If you don't have soap/lotion bar molds you can use ice cube trays, loaf pans, silicone molds or other Tupperware.
