‘Tis the season for piña coladas! Nothing beats the heat like a creamy, tropical drink—but the calories that come with it can put a damper on your beach or pool party. (Did you know a typical colada has 425 calories?!) And that’s where coconut water—which is already one of our favorite things—comes in. Not only is coconut water delicious, it’s low in calories, cholesterol free, aids in digestion, and is extra hydrating thanks to all the minerals it contains. It also happens to be a helpful hangover remedy (is this becoming a theme?).

I have been using this recipe for a year now! Even my husband who usually didn’t cut corners when it comes to food/calories digs it. Thanks!
Doesn’t :)
Question:
Can you make coconut water or do you have to buy it? Could you use the oil from the coconut capsules
Added to regular water to make it? If bought what is the purist form to buy?
Thanks,

425 calories?! I had no idea. I always used cream of coconut, but using coconut water instead? hm. Might be worth a shot!
Yum! Such a good idea since alcohol dehydrates you and coconut water hydrates you!
